Website Updates and Management

First, read this article! Four Reasons Why You Must Update Your Website

It's better if you update the website using a content management system (CMS) because regular updates are an essential part of an effective website. For more technical help with web development (for example, new functionality and software updates), I'll carry out the work.

You Update the Website

A content management system enables you to update your website. The choice of system depends on the type of website and your requirements.

It's possible to take an existing website1 and modify it so that you can update the pages whenever you want. You will be able to:

  • Add and change images.
  • Edit text and write news articles.
  • Add new pages.

1 I'll run some simple checks to assess the technical requirements.

With a few hours work by me, you could be editing pages within a day » Read more about the Perch system.

Web Development

Website management plans start from £60/month. A website management plan give your priority access to an agreed amount of time every month.

Following my technical assessment (see below), we agree what work is covered by the plan. For example, it might be small text changes, WordPress updates, or the addition of news items.

Website Management Initial Costs

I charge 0.5 day's work (£150) for a technical assessment before starting work on a new WordPress site. This means that I can assess the website code and login to WordPress to asses how the site is put together. After that, I can provide an estimate for web development and ongoing maintenance.
